Mild May Ripple Cowl

This pattern is available for C$4.99.

The Mild May Ripple Cowl can be styled so many ways! Wear it down across your shoulders and accented with your favorite broach for a great summer evening cover-up; Wear it long and glamorous over a simple t-shirt; Double it up and pull it over your ears to make it cosy and practical. Mild May is the ultimate accessory!

This convertible cowl is knit is the round with no seams. The simple ripple lace motif is great for beginners- adding stitch markers between repeats makes keeping track even easier! The instructions are given in chart and written form. Because of the unique movement of the stitch pattern, colour changing yarns shine in this project. I used Noro Aya; additional yarn ideas are listed below.

Materials:
3 balls Noro Aya or approx 650 yards of a colour changing yarn with a long repeat
5mm (US8) 60cm circular needle
wool needle
stitch markers

Measurements: 42” circumference, 16” wide. Gauge is not crucial and measurements are easily adjustable by adding or subtracting 12 stitches ( equals 3 inches).

Other yarn ideas:
Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend
Noro Silk Garden Lite
Rowan Tapestry
Mary Maxim Prysm
